OMIC R&D Happy Hour: John Day

05/13/2026 03:00 PM - 04:30 PM PT

Description

Oregon Manufacturing Innovation Center (OMIC) R&D, in partnership with the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (OEN), invite you to a hands-on learning session built specifically for entrepreneurs developing physical products. If you’re working on hardware, advanced manufacturing, energy, aerospace, medical devices or any product that involves real-world parts, then this session will help you move from idea to prototype to production faster and with less risk.

In this session, you’ll learn how to answer the kinds of questions that can make or break your next stage of growth:

  • What materials should I use?
  • Will my design hold up in real-world conditions?
  • How do I manufacture this cost-effectively?

OMIC R&D will walk through how they help startups and growth businesses test, prototype, and refine products using tools like metal 3D printing, materials testing, and process development. Whether you’re still validating your concept or preparing to scale, you’ll leave with a clearer path forward.

This is a great fit if you have a physical product, are building toward a working prototype or pilot, and know that manufacturing, materials, or performance will be critical to your success. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore whether a follow-on project with OMIC R&D could help accelerate your progress.

We encourage you to apply to attend and take advantage of this unique opportunity to access world-class manufacturing expertise right here in Oregon. Registration is subject to approval. Please submit your registration via the "waitlist" and approved registrants will be notified via email that they are registered for this event.
