March: Co-Work with OEN
Category
Description

Entrepreneurship is often a lonely experience, but it doesn’t have to be.
Exchanging best practices with other founders and entrepreneurs in the same region, even if you have differing business types, can provide precious insights. You can learn from their experiences, pick up new ideas, and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
Oregon Entrepreneurs Network is partnering with our friends at Miller Nash to host Co-Work with OEN on Tuesday, March 31st from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm at Willamette University MBA's Portland Campus.
Make it your headquarters for the day. Set up your laptop and co-work with other founders in their common spaces, private room, and comfy lounge areas.
-
Drop by and get answers to your legal questions with Miller Nash experts.
-
Connect with Cara Turano, OEN's President & Executive Director in person!
-
Grab time with the tax professionals from KBF Advisors during office hours.
-
Find out more about Willamette University MBA and Graduate programs.
So, join for the full day, or just for a portion of the day, and get connected with other regional entrepreneurs.

According to a 2017 study, startups with patents in the US have 55% higher employment growth and 80% higher sales growth over five years than startups without patents. Early-stage startups with patents can earn 73% more capital, late-stage startups can earn 71% more, and venture-growth stage startups can earn 46% more.
By protecting intellectual property, a company can expand the value of their assets and increase future productivity. Patents and copyrights give companies exclusive ownership to their creative innovations.
We are delighted to have Julie Reed and Delfina Homen lead a basic overview of trademarks, patents, and copyrights. They will also address some situations specific to startups within each area of intellectual property law.
